Leaving The Island Country For Banjul, Following Banjul's Severing Ties With Taipei!
The former Gambian Ambassador in Taiwan Ebrima Jarju and his Embassy staff are expected to leave Taiwan tonight at 8 PM for Banjul after the severing of diplomatic ties between the Gambia and Taiwan, the Freedom Newspaper can report. The Gambia was maintaining a fully functional Embassy in Taipei, until the recent move by Banjul to terminate diplomatic ties with Taiwan.
The Ambassador and his staff are leaving Taiwan with a heavy heart. Gambia's erratic and delusional President Yahya Jammeh terminated Gambia's ties with Taiwan without informing Ambassador Jarju. Jarju told the Taiwanese press that the decision for the Gambia to sever ties with Taiwan was a news to him adding that no one in Banjul has consulted him.

The Steering Committee having formally adapted it's structures on Saturday November 16 2013, wishes to notify the general public that it is now officially called The Committee For The Restoration of Democracy in the Gambia (CORDEG).Committee members thank all Gambians and pledge to do their utmost to advance the agenda outlined in the foundational principles upon which the organization was built. The task before us would require the prayers and participation of all who aspire to a better future for our country and that is why we start this difficult journey confident that all citizens of goodwill will stand together. We face a grave national crisis and we must rise to the occasion by bringing all hands on deck to save ourselves and our country.
